Black Forest Cycle Tour

A distance of around 300 kilometres lies between the picturesque city of Heidelberg in the north and Lake Constance in the south of Baden-Württemberg. This route is divided into six beautiful and varied daily stages, which lead you, for example, through the idyllic Nagold Valley.

This cycle route, which was awarded by the German Cyclist’s Association (ADFC) as a ‘Quality Route’ at the beginning of 2018, will knock you off your saddle with its variety! Starting in picturesque Heidelberg and stretching all the way to Lake Constance, you also will pedal your way through the fantastic Black Forest countryside.

You will ride through the Northern Black Forest on the second day. Highlights include the gold town of Pforzheim and then, in the Nagold Valley, the spa town of Bad Liebenzell with its thermal bath, spa park and our café tip Badhaus 1897, the Hirsau monastery, the Hermann Hesse town of Calw, the sheep-herding town of Wildberg and the lovely shops of Nagold. Take the time to discover the region and experience the long-distance cycle route at a pace that suits you!

Between your exciting daily stages on two wheels, numerous certified Bed+Bike hosts await you along the route. Here you will find certified bike-friendly accommodation for you and your bicycle, ensuring you will be well-rested and rejuvenated by the time you cycle off again the next day.

The Northern Black Forest awaits you!
