Half-Timbered Houses Route
Covering a length of 1,082 kilometres, this long-distance cycle route is the longest themed of its kind in Germany. As you cycle through the Northern Black Forest, you can soak in the beautiful sights and enjoy historic village fairs and local culinary delights, as well as highlights like the towns of Calw, Nagold and Altensteig!
The most southern part of the Half-Timbered Houses Route stretches from Mosbach in the Neckar Valley all the way to Sasbachwalden in the Ortenau region and to Meersburg at Lake Constance. With a length of just over 1,000 kilometres, this cycle route connects more than 30 interesting and worth-seeing half-timbered towns in Baden-Württemberg.And what better way to see them that from your saddle? Follow in the footsteps of Hermann Hesse, the famous son of the town of Calw. Stroll around the little streets of Nagold and do a spot of shopping.
